Jude Bellingham labelled as one of the ‘best players in the world’ by Real Madrid legend Figo

Real Madrid legend Luis Figo has labelled Jude Bellingham as one of the best players in the world already.

The England international made the move to Los Blancos this summer from Borussia Dortmund for an initial £88.5million rising to £115m.

And while many players have wilted under the Bernabeu lights, the 20-year-old is already flourishing and has started life in LaLiga with five goals in four appearances.

It has led to many plaudits gushing over the midfielder, including one Real Madrid legend who played alongside players such as Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Ronaldo.

Bellingham’s stunning form, which was carried over into the international break with England, led Portuguese icon Figo to laud the ex-Birmingham starlet

Quoted by AS, he said: “He has started very strongly. [He] has adapted very, very quickly to what Real Madrid is all about.

“Is Bellingham already one of the best players in the world? Yes, without a doubt.

“Because of his talent and the commitment he is showing, even though he is so young.”

The former Barcelona captain was not the only ex-Real star to big up Bellingham as Bernd Schuster waxed lyrical over the youngster.

Schuster, who played for and later managed Real, remarked: “You can see he’s a guy who likes to carry the weight of the game.

“We had lost a lot of very good players in La Liga… but it seems that another one has landed with him.”

“I see him scoring between 15 and 20 goals, he has a great finish from the second line, a great header, his shot from outside the box…”

It’s not just at club level where Bellingham has shone, as he showcased his talent over the international break.

The youngster almost single-handedly downed Scotland by himself in a 3-1 win at Hampden Park, not an easy place to play for any visiting player – let alone one so young.

A quickfire double from Phil Foden and Bellingham put England in control before Harry Maguire scored an own goal.

But Madrid maestro Bellingham then brilliantly picked out Harry Kane, who fired home to make it 3-1 to the Three Lions.
