BBC hit by another sex noise joke as pranksters target Bowls event after infamous Match of the Day incident

The BBC’s coverage of the World Indoor Bowls Championship was hilariously disturbed by the sound of sex noises being played in the arena.

The competition is being played at the Potters’ Resort in Norfolk, a place that is usually renowned for it’s calm, competitive atmosphere.

However that was completely undone as Harry Goodwin stepped up to take his shot, with the sex noises played loudly in the background.

While trying to stay professional, Goodwin could be seen smirking to himself as he heard the noises, knowing that the event was falling victim to a prankster.

The BBC blamed the incident on ‘a sound issue’, a description which is most certainly underplaying it.

Unfortunately for Goodwin, the overheard noises were the highlight of his day as he fell to a 2-0 defeat to Stewart Anderson.

Of course it’s not the first time that the BBC have had to deal with such an issue, with their coverage of an FA Cup game between Liverpool and Wolves in January 2023 falling victim to the same prank.

Gary Lineker, Paul Ince and Danny Murphy did their best to ignore the sound.

The noises carried on for many minutes of the coverage, with Lineker eventually seeing the funny side of things after his initial shock.

He then revealed the culprit behind the incident.

Posting a picture of a mobile phone, he tweeted: “Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing.”
