The Nintendo Switch OLED is $50 off

One of the best unofficial October Prime Day deals has come early at Woot, where you can get a new Nintendo Switch OLED with either white or neon blue/red Joy-Con for $299.99 ($50 off). It’s not typical for this console to receive any kind of discount, so we’re usually skeptical that there’s something amiss when one pops up, like an iffy warranty, or that it isn’t the U.S. version, which includes a different power adapter. However, there are no strings attached; you’re just getting a great deal.

You probably don’t need to be reminded that the debut of Nintendo’s Switch 2 is right around the corner. The company hasn’t shared when we’ll first see it in action, but it will be available in early 2025. If you either don’t care about the new console, which is rumored to rock a bigger screen and vastly better performance, the Switch OLED is a gorgeous machine that can play oh-so many wonderful games.

The Switch OLED is, itself, a few leaps ahead of the base Switch in terms of design and quality of life features. The main attraction is its 7-inch OLED 720p display that makes every game look instantly better, with more contrast, plus the ability to show off deep blacks to bring The Depths to life in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The console also features a more robust kickstand and louder speakers.
