Olivia Munn and John Mulaney are now proud parents of two!

On Sept. 22, the couple, who tied the knot in July, announced on Instagram that they welcomed a baby girl named Méi June Mulaney via a surrogate.

Munn’s post featured a series of photos of the parents, who also share 2-year-old son Malcolm Hiệp, bonding with their newborn. Munn held their daughter in the first picture as she sat on Mulaney’s lap in a hospital.

Another photo showed Méi sweetly sleeping. In a third snap, Munn cradled her daughter.

The final picture in her post showed Mulaney staring out at the sea as he held Méi. Munn crouched beside him, planting a kiss on Malcolm’s cheek.

“Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon,” the actor wrote in the caption, before opening up about her experience with surrogacy.

”I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,” she continued. “When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel.”

Munn said that she couldn’t fully explain how grateful she is for their surrogate. She added that the surrogate “made our dreams come true.”

“I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us,” she said. “My heart has exploded.”

At the end of her post, she shared that the name Méi, pronounced “May,” translates to “plum” in Chinese.

Mulaney also celebrated the arrival of their baby girl on Instagram

His post included a video of him patting Méi on the back as she spat up on his shoulder.

“We stole so much stuff from the hospital,” the comedian joked in the caption.

He added, “I love my little girl so much.”

The couple’s baby news comes after Mulaney and Munn got married in July in a New York City ceremony officiated by Munn’s former “Newsroom” co-star Sam Waterston.

Earlier this year, Munn also revealed a series of recent health struggles. In March, she shared on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

“I hope by sharing this it will help others find comfort, inspiration and support on their own journey,” she said. Munn said in her post that she learned she was diagnosed with luminal B breast cancer in April 2023.

Munn underwent a series of surgeries, including “a lymph node dissection, a nipple delay procedure (a surgical procedure which spares the nipples) and a double mastectomy,” all within 30 days, People reported in April.

Munn also told People she had breast reconstruction surgery and started hormone suppression therapy, which put her into medically induced menopause.

While speaking to Vogue in May, Munn revealed that she underwent more surgeries.

“I have now had an oophorectomy and hysterectomy. I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries,” she said.

She also told the magazine that she went through a round of egg retrievals after her cancer diagnosis so she could hopefully expand her family.

“John and I talked about it a lot and we don’t feel like we’re done growing our family, but didn’t know if I would have to do chemotherapy or radiation,” she shared.

Munn posted an extensive timeline of her screenings and surgeries over the past year on Sept. 4.

In the video, she said she hoped her health journey “helps others, who have gone through it or are going through it right now, maybe feel a little comforted in knowing that I’ve gone down the same path and I’m doing OK.”
