Kesha Enters Independent Era With Launch of Kesha Records, Plots New Album for 2025

Kesha has announced that she’s entered a new independent era with the launch of Kesha Records, which will be distributed globally in partnership with ADA.

The singer, who had long been signed to RCA and Kemosabe Records, is slated to release a new album in 2025 as part of the deal, which denotes her first distribution deal and the first time she’s had ownership and creative control over her music. ADA will work hand in hand with Crush Music to oversee all marketing and promotion for her new album.

“I am proud to announce this partnership for the distribution of my music through Kesha Records,” said Kesha in a statement. “My name has become synonymous with transparency, integrity, and safety, and I want to ensure that these values are upheld for myself and any future artists signed to my label. Music has the power to connect the world, and I aspire for my work to be a beacon of light and goodness. I am excited to take control of my narrative and rewrite my story in the music business.”

This came six months after she settled multiple lawsuits with her former producer and label owner Dr. Luke, a prolonged legal battle that lasted more than a decade.

Kesha’s last album, 2023’s “Gag Order,” was the final full-length to be released as part of her deal with Kemosabe and RCA. This past March, she tweeted, “First day I’ve owned my voice in 19 years. Welcome.” She most recently teased a new song, assumedly titled “Delusional,” on TikTok.

In a statement, Cat Kreidich, president of ADA, said, “Since the start of her career, Kesha’s authenticity has distinguished her as a true artist whose vibrant self-expression resonates strongly with her fans. We believe ADA is the ideal home for her, and we’re honored and committed to supporting Kesha as an independent artist while maintaining her creative integrity and unapologetic bold-spirit.”

“We are honored to be on this joyride with Kesha as she embarks on this new entrepreneurial phase of her career and continues to build Kesha Records with the support of Crush’s full service team and ADA,” added Crush Music.
