How to unlock the Invoker in Remnant 2’s The Forgotten Kingdom DLC

• Bookmarks: 1

The Invoker is a secret archetype in Remnant 2, and comes as part of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC. Similarly to Remnant 2’s other secret classes, you’ll need to really look for this class’ engram hidden in the world if you want to find it, as the Old Flute is very difficult to find.

In this Remnant 2 guide, I’ll walk you through how to start The Forgotten Kingdom DLC and how to unlock the Invoker archetype.

If you’re looking to get the original classes, here’s how to unlock all archetypes in Remnant 2.

Assuming you already have a character, go to any checkpoint and activate Adventure Mode. Reroll a new Adventure Mode scenario if you already have one active and select The Forgotten Kingdom.

If it’s your first time playing The Forgotten Kingdom, The game will ask you if you want to play the DLC as a “One Shot.” Say yes. This means you’ll be guaranteed to see the new content in Yaesha and not anything you’ve already seen in the base game or the first DLC.

Once you’ve set the second DLC up, open the new Yaesha area and head down into the Glittering Grotto.

You’ll need to play through a solid chunk of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC before you’re able to unlock the Invoker.

You’ll start your adventure in Yaesha in the Ancient Canopy area, which is where you’ll eventually find the Old Flute. However, you’ll need to make some significant changes to the environment first.

Progress through the main quest until you eventually leave the Ancient Canopy’s main area and re enter it by way of the Deserted Atelier. Activate the Abandoned Citadel crystal checkpoint and walk forward. Pull the lever to lower the giant statue and citadel into the ground.

This new citadel will allow you into The Bloodless Throne, but ignore that for now. Instead, climb down to the now-sunken tower via the nearby elevator. Then climb down the sunken tower’s stairs and many ladders until you reach the bottom. Look for a door in the back of this basement area and follow the path.

You’ll eventually encounter a big room filled with sand and a bunch of dart traps shooting every few seconds. Ignore the darts for now and look across the sands and to the right. In the back-right corner of the room, you’ll see two piles of sand beginning to form next to each other.

Make your way over to those two piles by walking through the sand. (The darts are very dangerous here, so be cautious).

Once you’ve reached the sand piles, you’ve gotten to the fun part of the quest! Stand in-between the two sand piles, set a five minute timer on your watch or phone, take your hands off your controller or mouse and keyboard, and go make yourself a sandwich. Over the next three-to-five minutes, your character will slowly sink deeper and deeper into the sand. Eventually they’ll “die” and pop out the other side, in a new and mysterious room.

Stand up and walk forward. You’ll find an altar with the Old Flute sitting on it.

Grab the flute and head back to Ward 13. Go talk to Wallace like usual and pay him to transform the Old Flute into the Spirit Flute. Once you have it, the Spirit Flute will give you access to the Invoker archetype.

The Invoker is all about casting lots of spells. It can heal, deal damage, and debuff targets. Its Prime Perk is Visionary, which doubles the number of base skill charges for all archetypes. Activating a skill reduces all other skill cooldowns by a small percentage, and heavy weapons get double ammo.
