Ryan Wesley Routh sits behind bars today for attempting to kill Donald Trump on a golf course earlier this month. Now his son Oran is in custody too after investigators discovered “hundreds” of files containing child pornography during a search of his residence in Guilford County, North Carolina Saturday. Authorities were searching his place “in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation.”

He faces charges of receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

The sick material was found on an unspecified electronic device:
The “unrelated investigation” referred to Routh’s father — who remains in custody after a judge ordered him detained pending trial Monday — a spokesperson with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Carolina confirmed to ABC News.
Investigators said the pornography was found on a Samsung Galaxy Note device located inside Oran Routh’s primary bedroom in the residence, as well as another Galaxy Note device in Routh’s possession.
“A review of the SD card located in Device-1 revealed that it contained hundreds of child pornography files,” prosecutors wrote in the criminal complaint. “These files include videos from a known child pornography series created outside the state of North Carolina…”
The complaint included graphic descriptions of the videos and a chat from July in which Oran Routh allegedly responded to someone advertising the content for sale.

As RedState’s Nick Arama reported, Oran had commented on his father’s attempted assassination and said his dad hated Trump:
But what the suspect’s son said revealed the basic problem with how deeply the media/Democratic demonization of Trump has inculcated itself.
According to the son, Oran Routh:
He said his father hates Trump as ‘every reasonable person does’, adding ‘I don’t like Trump either.’
Oran said: ‘He’s my dad and all he’s had is couple traffic tickets, as far as I know. That’s crazy. I know my dad and love my dad, but that’s nothing like him.
‘He said he was at the beach, but I thought that meant the outer banks in Hawaii. I didn’t ask him for more information because we’ve had a falling out. We’ve grown apart.’

Oran Routh will appear before a North Carolina federal court later Tuesday, where prosecutors will likely ask for him to remain in detention.
It would appear that this is one heck of a twisted father-son duo.
