While Nintendo has stated that it’ll be officially announcing the Switch 2 sometime before next April, it could be quite a while before the next-gen console is out on store shelves. And for the time being, the original Nintendo Switch is still our absolute favorite handheld console on the market. But even seven-plus years after its release, these clever hybrid consoles can be tough to find on sale. That doesn’t mean there aren’t a few ways to score some savings, however.

If you’re looking to expand your gaming setup without breaking the bank, there are a number of online offers you can take advantage of right now. Scott Stein, CNET’s resident gaming expert, along with our dedicated deals team have scoured the web to bring you the best bargains out there on games and accessories and even a few bundle deals that can help you save some cash on a Switch console. We’ll continue to update this page as offers come and go, so be sure to check back often for the latest slate of savings.

If you’re looking to get your hands on a Switch console, the $200 Switch Lite + Animal Crossing: New Horizons bundle is one of the best values you’ll find out there right now. While it’s not technically discounted, this bundle includes Animal Crossing: New Horizons — a $60 value and one of the best Switch games on the market — completely free. Plus, the console has a unique design inspired by the game. Just note that the Switch Lite can only be used as a handheld console and does not support gaming on a TV or other screen.

It doesn’t seem like you’re saving money here, but you’re getting the Switch Lite console with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which can run as much as $60, thrown in for free. This Switch comes in a lovely shade of pink and features the game that got a lot of us through COVID lockdowns.

Preorders are now open for the Hyrule Edition Switch Lite, which officially hits shelves on Sept. 26. It’s not directly discounted, and it’s actually $10 more than the standard Switch Lite, but nabbing this bundle gets you the Zelda-themed console as well as a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack individual membership worth $40.

Joy-Cons will set you back around $80, which isn’t cheap. A good game can cost as much as $60. Based on that, this little bundle from Target is a pretty good value as it packs in a red-and-blue Joy-Con and the excellent Super Mario Party for $100. It’s a great choice if you’ve not got the game.

The PowerA enhanced controller is built to mimic the feel of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, which earned it a top spot on our list of the best Switch controllers for 2024. Along with having a decent battery life and a rechargeable battery built-in, it also has motion controls and special thumbsticks that prioritize comfort and control.

Memory upgrades might not be the fanciest thing you can buy, but you’ll appreciate them in the long run. This microSD card from Lexar has a massive 1TB capacity, which is enough for a lot of Switch games, and it even has Mario colors.
