It’s nearly summer and Bad Bunny is already on at least a few different hot streaks, not least of which is how wildly he’s been dressing lately.
The Puero Rican superstar—still basking in the afterglow of his recent smash Coachella headlining performances, still being frequently photographed by Kendall Jenner’s side—is currently in Monte Carlo for this weekend’s Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, a.k.a. the biggest thing happening on the French Riviera right now. And even though Bad Bunny’s always been a delightfully unorthodox dresser, it seems he’s taken a cue from his new close supermodel pal Kendall with his Monaco shirt choice: a sheer, body-hugging polo shirt from French designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s spring 1996 collection, featuring the brand’s signature (and recently revitalized) “cyberdots” pattern. This particular shirt also has another Gaultier signature: a trompe l’oeil bathing suit imprint, giving the impression that Benito is wearing a high-cut swimsuit complete with a triangle bikini top. As French people in American cartoons like to say: Ooh la la!
Certainly it’s not a new phenomenon that when two people start hanging out together a lot, they also start dressing alike; Bad Bunny and Jenner also recently sported his-and-hers snakeskin boots to sit courtside at a Lakers game, which may or may not have inspired their (married) friends Justin and Hailey Bieber to finally coordinate their outfits, too.
